PVAS is an alias of Jordan Juras, who also runs as half of NUG with Florian TM Zeisig, and as available on computers with Dylan Kerr for shy’s 3XL. His ‘Slipstream’ flexes in wake of Kapsela’s killer Gyrofield 12” with a finely contoured aerodynamic over six parts that we could easily imagine featuring in one of Objekt’s lauded, poly-genre and BPM scaling DJ sets. And it also works dead well as sort of 30 minute mini-album in its own right, thanks to its sequencing and variegation of style and pattern.

The cotton candied ambient thizz of opener ‘Gathering Drift’ and pearlescent ambient-pop wist of its titular closer give the album a proper start and finish, whilst the main body twists out some of his most striking club tekkerz. He approaches ‘Parallel Universe’-era 4 Hero levels of devilish breakbeat ballistics on ‘Terminal’, and threads the breaks in a tighter wormhole like prime Jega reworking Gescom’s ‘Puzl’, bu with up-to-the-second fractals in ‘Wetlands’, before trimming back to a writhing electro-techno hydraulics on ‘Ripped’ and easing off into something like Dolo Percussion meets Objekt on ‘Boba’.
